Fernando Williams

(Managing Director)

Mr. Williams, is the founder and managing director for the Exhibium Group, a leading retail consulting organization with extensive work experience in the United States, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Mr. Williams is widely known for his work in the area of “Emotional Commerce” It is his belief that the customer in-store experience can be positively influenced via visual motivational factors to improve the customer experience in the  store and increase spending. This theory has been confirmed and put to the test in many of the most successful retail operations existing today. In the consultancies performed by Mr. Williams and his associates there are many case studies to prove this point.

Mr. Williams received his education and training in architecture. Retail has always been his passion and over the years he has expanded his base to include store design, visual merchandising, and in-store marketing and communications. He is an accomplished retail consultant, speaker and trainer with international experience in many different retail formats. 

Mr. Williams is a member of The Institute of Store Planners, The National Retail Federation, and the National Association of Store Fixture Manufacturers.

  

Mario R. Tur, A.I.A

(Director, Architectural Services) 

Mario is responsible for architectural design, production, and operations with more than twenty years of professional experience as an Architect in the retail industry. Mario has an in-depth and thorough applied knowledge of project management, environmental design, construction documentation, and contract administration.  

His experiences have been honed from the ground up in the field where he learned construction and then in the office where he applied field experiences to construction administration, documentation and managing project teams. He has provided professional services for private individuals, corporate boards, institutional, and public government agencies under a variety of contractual and employment formats giving him versatility of communication styles to draw from. 

Mr. Tur´s forte lies in his project organizational, planning, directing and controlling skills that positively impacts client´s schedule and budget.     

 

Manuel Hormigó

(Director, In Store Communications)

This gifted, multicultural Spaniard was born in Spain, where he also initiated and completed his technical and artistic studies. He started his career with the prestigious chain of retail stores “Cortefiel” where his practical knowledge earned him several promotions to become the Regional Director of “Visual Merchandising”.

After that experience, he was named National Director of “In Store Visual” for Carrefour, one of Europe´s premier hypermarkets. He was responsible for 121 stores, over 500 employees, and artistic development for all store communications.

His remarkable success lead him to start his own business in 2000 where he has worked with several multinational corporations as well as retailers, hypermarkets and supermarkets both in Europe, Latin America and the United States.

His association with the Exhibium Group represents a giant step forward in our ability to offer retailers the most comprehensive, multidisciplinary and successful in-store marketing services.

 

Luis Felipe Gonzalez

(Director, Professional Development)


What makes Luis Felipe Gonzalez stand out is his capacity to communicate at all intellectual levels, the universality of his talents and his ability to express the most complex ideas in a clear and simple way. 

As a director of the Exhibium Group, he has demonstrated the importance of adequate training of all your human resources in the store in order to get an optimum experience. He has developed many training seminars for management, supervisors and floor personnel. Without a doubt, this is a difference between a motivating environment that pleases and attracts customers and one of indifference.

To his strong academic foundation, that includes an MBA from New York University, and his extensive experience in the business world, he adds an exceptional sense of humor, which captures the attention of the most heterogeneous audience. He is a sought after speaker, advisor and trainer.  

 

Joseph Weishar

(Director, Visual Merchandising)

 
Joseph Weishar is uniquely talented in introducing theatrical qualities into retail stores.   Mr. Weishar founded New Vision Studios, a visual merchandising firm that focuses on planning, design, renovation, signing, lighting, display, merchandise presentation and staff training. 

Mr. Weishar studied at Cooper Union and Yale Art setting design at Yale Drama School. 

Mr. Weishar developed and promoted the concept of consumer visual response. He emphasized the fusion of market research with visual response in building an optimum selling environment. This approach is detailed in Mr. Weishar´s book, Design for Effective Selling Space, published by McGraw-Hill. 

Joe has taught visual merchandising at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Barbizon School and the International Council of Shopping Centers.  

 

Martin Hall 

Martin Hall is Managing Partner of Retail Education Partnerships, a London based consultancy which advises retailers and education providers on new learning strategies centered on the workplace. The focus of work extends beyond the UK into the developing economies. He was formerly Founder and Executive Director of the British Institute of Retailing, a body dedicated to raising the professional profile of the industry.

Martin Hall is Marketing Adviser to the Egremont Group. He serves on the Advisory Boards of Manchester Metropolitan University´s Business School, the Exhibium Group in the US, and is a Member of Court at Surrey University.

 

Linda Cahan

 
Linda Cahan started in retail visual merchandising after graduating with a degree in fine arts from Syracuse University. She worked at Sibleys in her first display job and went on the Visual Merchandising Manager at Carlisles, Bonwit Teller and Macys. She then became corporate Director of Visual Merchandising for Jordan Marsh Northeast, Steinbachs and P.C. Richard & Son (a 40-store chain of electronics and appliances.)

She authored a textbook 3A Practical Guide to Visual Merchandising2, Prentice Hall, taught at Parsons School of Design, NYC for 12 years, and wrote seven custom visual merchandising manuals for: Singer Sewing Machine Company, American Express Travel Related Services Co., and Saks Fifth Avenue.
